Welcome to the official Coarsegold Historical Society & Museum site. The Museum is located in the historic Willow Glen area just south of Coarsegold and below the Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino on Highway 41. The original road to Yosemite ran right through our Museum grounds. Our adobe is a designated historical landmark and served as a way station for those heading up the mountain. The unique collection of artifacts and items of historical value is focused on Coarsegold and areas in the nearby foothills. Our exhibits offer a look back into the past from prehistoric to historic times.
