Coarsegold Historical Society

The Coarsegold Historical Society was formed in 1981 as an educational non-profit organization. The specific purpose of the Society is to collect, preserve, classify, and use in the public interest historical items relating to the area of Eastern Madera County. We have organized and operated exclusively for educational and historical preservation purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3).  The Museum is open to the public from April through October and during the winter months by appointment. Our volunteer docents maintain the buildings and grounds and welcome visitors from all over the world.
